Chawniethe Doula.

I am a wife, a twin mom, and DONA trained birth and postpartum doula with extensive knowledge in breastfeeding support, pumping support, as well as cloth diapering. I started my doula journey supporting birthers and their families while obtaining a Biology degree from the University of West Georgia. I didn’t know it at the time, but these years were molding and preparing me for my life’s work.  It wasn’t until after giving birth to my twins when I felt the calling to pursue birth work full time. Since then, I noticed a big shift in the birth world. I saw big changes in hospital birth settings, I saw an increase in home births, and I also took notice to the benefits of prenatal movement and how it relates to the success rates of vaginal births. It was this observation that led me to complete an intentional birth coach/ prenatal and postpartum yoga and Pilates certification. I started my birth work journey in college over 15 years ago, but it wasn’t until the past 4 years that I feel like I have all the tools needed for the level of support that birthers truly deserve. As a twin mom, I am well versed in the needs, and have a soft spot for families expecting multiples. My doula journey has brought me a great understanding of the many joys and challenges of parenthood and how important it is to have an empowering and positive birth experience. My passion for helping families during this special time is evident in my commitment to providing personalized and compassionate care. With my wealth of knowledge and experience, I strive to empower birthers and their partners through evidence-based knowledge and resources to have the most positive and fulfilling birth experience possible. I have experience in all types of births, and I believe that it’s a true honor to be invited into someone’s birth space.
