She started her doula journey supporting birthers and their families while obtaining a biology degree from the University of West Georgia. Since then she has completed an intentional birth coach/ prenatal and postpartum yoga and pilates certification. As a twin mom, Chawniethe Doula is well versed in the needs of families expecting multiples. She approaches birth work with a passion for education and unbiased customized support. She has experience in all types of birth and takes pride in supporting whatever type of birth you choose. She feels honored and privileged to be invited to educate, empower, and support families through such a delicate and sacred time.
Birth Doula Support
A birth doula is an excellent source of physical and emotional support while you're laboring and delivering your child. Chawniethe Doula will be your advocate while helping you pull through the unknown world of labor and delivery.
She will provide emotional, physical and informational support to birthers and families during pregnancy, labor, birth and the immediate postpartum period. While work alongside your medical team to ensure that you feel empowered and informed throughout the birth experience. Provide comfort measures such as massage, breathing techniques, and positions for labor, as well as offer continuous support and encouragement.
Chawnie can also provide information on various medical procedures and options. Birth doula services increase the likelihood of a positive birth experience and help families feel confident and prepared for the arrival of their new baby. Postpartum & New born hours
A postpartum doula is a professional support person who helps new families adjust to life with a baby. They provide physical, emotional and practical support during the postpartum period, which can be a time of intense change and adjustment.
Chawniethe Doula will assist with tasks such as newborn care, breastfeeding support, light household chores, and meal preparation. She can also provide education and resources on topics such as infant sleep patterns, postpartum recovery, and parenting strategies.
With her experience and knowledge, chawnie can help ease the transition into parenthood and promote the well-being of both the mother and the family.
Prenatal Movement
Prenatal yoga/movement class is designed specifically for birthers. This class will help you connect with your body and baby, reduce stress and anxiety, and prepare your body for childbirth.
I will guide you through gentle and safe yoga poses, Pilates movement, breathing techniques, and relaxation exercises to improve your physical and mental well-being. This is your first class ticket to preparing baby for optimal birthing position and shortening labor.
My group classes offer a great opportunity to connect with other moms-to-be and birthers in a supportive and nurturing environment.
